Chair made from Old CDs

Simple but very impressive idea for making a great and unique home accessory – a chair from your old and forgotten CDs and DVDs. You ceratainly have a bunch of them in your house. Find them and make yourself a cool UPcycled CD chair.

It’s probably not the most comfortable chair but it sure looks tremendous!

Making a chair from CDs looks quite easy. All you need is some metal frame or base for the chair and a lot of CDs or DVDs. And I am sure that your imagination can come up with many designs for a chair like that.

This CD chair is made from the designer Belen Hermosa. Since the CDs are a big part in the problem of pollution and they are hard to recycle he probably decided to put his amount of old CDs into a use. The upcycled CD chair is called “Panda chair”. I leave to you to guess why the designer picked that name.

RECOMMENDATIONS: This example is pretty simple and you can use a store base. But for more interesting designs I suggest to make your own frame for the chair. You can also add armrest on the sides and make an armchair.
